Vac and kill truck services in Midland-Odessa

A vacuum truck uses a tank and a vacuum pump to suck up liquids and slurries and haul them off. A kill truck is a pump truck that pushes fluid into a well, most often to bring it under control or to support work on it. Many oilfield trucks can do some of both, which is why the two names often get used together.

In the Permian, vac trucks move a lot of produced water from tank batteries and frac tanks to disposal, pull liquids out of cellars and containment, and clean out tanks. They also support pipeline construction by handling water and fluids during testing and tie-ins.

We run vac and kill trucks for produced water hauling, liquid waste removal, tank cleaning and pipeline construction support across the Permian Basin.

What affects scheduling and price

Vac truck work is usually priced by the hour, with disposal or washout fees on top. Hours include travel, loading time at the site and the run to disposal. Distance to the disposal well, the type of fluid, how thick it is, and how many loads it takes all affect the total.

Scheduling depends on truck availability, travel distance and disposal wait times. Tell us the approximate volume and what the fluid is so the right truck goes out.

Safety basics

Produced water and tank bottoms can carry H2S and other gases, and tank work has confined-space and fall hazards. Crews should know the H2S status of the location, gauge tanks before work, and follow the operator's permits for tank entry. Containment and spill kits should be on hand when transferring fluids.

How to prepare the site

To prepare, make sure the truck can get close to the tank or pit with a safe place to park and turn around, and that valves and connections are accessible. Have tank gauges or a volume estimate, and confirm the disposal location will accept the fluid.
