Hotshot trucking in Midland-Odessa

Hotshot trucking is fast, dedicated hauling of a single load or a small set of loads, usually on a pickup with a gooseneck or flatbed trailer instead of a full tractor-trailer. The load goes straight from pickup to drop without waiting to fill a truck, so it fits the parts and equipment that hold up work on a lease when they are missing.

In the Permian, a lot of hotshot work starts with something small: a part for a pump, a set of valves, fittings for a tie-in, a generator, or tools a crew forgot at the yard. One missing item can stall a rig, a completion crew or a battery repair, and moving it on a regular freight schedule can take far longer than the job can wait.

We run hotshot transport for oilfield materials and equipment out of Midland, Texas, and we take requests 24/7. Tell us what needs to move and where, and we will tell you plainly whether it fits.

What affects scheduling and price

Hotshot pricing is set per load. The main things that move the number are distance (including deadhead back), the weight and size of the load, whether it needs special securement, how soon it has to move, and the condition of lease roads at the drop. Loads that need permits, escorts or loading equipment we do not bring cost more and take longer to set up.

Scheduling depends mostly on how much notice there is and how far out the site is. A clear pickup address, a contact who will have the load ready, and good directions to the drop do more to speed a run than anything else.

Safety basics

Every load is secured to the weight and shape of what is being carried, and drivers follow the site rules where they pick up and drop. Many leases require H2S awareness to enter, so tell us if the drop is inside a posted H2S area. Lease roads in the Permian can be rough, soft after rain, or shared with heavy trucks, so a good gate code and a pin for the drop point matter.

FAQ

What is a hotshot load?

A time-sensitive load hauled on its own, usually on a pickup and gooseneck or flatbed trailer, straight from pickup to drop instead of waiting on a full freight truck.

What do you haul?

Oilfield materials and equipment: parts, valves, fittings, tools, small equipment and similar loads. Send the details and we will confirm whether it fits.

Can you haul at night or on weekends?

We are open 24/7. Send the request any time and we will reply about timing.

How is a hotshot run priced?

Mainly by distance, load weight and size, securement needs and how quickly it has to move. We quote per load once we have the details.

Do you go out to remote lease locations?

Yes, across the Permian Basin. Send a pin and any road notes, especially after rain.

What slows a hotshot run down?

Loads that are not ready at pickup, missing gate codes, unclear drop locations and nobody on site to unload.
